SPECIAL EDUCATION
Special education means specially designed instruction, at no cost to parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability. Special education is something special - special materials, special equipment and special help or special facilities may be required for special categories. Special education, also called special needs education, the education of children who differ socially, mentally or physically from the average to such an extent that they require modification of usual school practices.
The role of a special educator is to understand and accept students for who they are. This means not just helping them overcome this weakness but assisting them in finding and developing this talents too. You will need to have a love of teaching but also a love of learning. Children will respond well to someone who is passionate about teaching and helping them learn. Strong dedication and devotion to your work will lead to great learning outcomes of children.
The main objectives of special education is individualized and personal education to help them to acquire necessary social skills for this self-help, independent living and leading future life as properly as possible.
Types of special education include special schools, special class. special methods, different projects, different informal agencies. special coaching etc. Mostly individual education and group teaching programs are planned. In one to one sessions we can tailor the class towards the needs, level and capability of the students. And in group we can improve social interaction, peer group interaction, language development etc.
